Abel is preceded in death by his parents; Juan M. and Demetria Gonzalez, his wife; Juanita Y. Gonzalez, daughter; Demetria G. Aguirre, brother; Ector Gonzalez, sisters; Juanita Gonzalez, Amalia Martinez, and Gloria Ramirez.
He leaves behind his daughters; Monica G. Mann (Mike) of Dilley, TX, Thelma Gonzalez of Austin, TX, Elida Amaya (Faustino Jr.) of Dilley, TX, Lee G. Torres (Geronimo) of Dilley, TX, son; Juan Gonzalez of Dilley, TX, brothers; Vidal Gonzalez of Seguin, TX, Johnny Juan Gonzalez of Giddings, TX, sisters; Alicia Gomez of Seguin, TX, Sylvia Salinas of Jourdanton, TX, and Rita Weise of San Antonio, TX. He is also survived by numerous grandkids and great-grandkids.
Pallbearers: Ramiro Tijerina, Jr., Jose Aguirre IV (A.J.), Monique G. Benavides, Natalie Nicole Tijerina, Horacio F. Benavides, Jr., and Abel Aguirre.
A Public Viewing will be held in his honor on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 from 5:00p.m. to 9:00p.m. in the Chapel at Primrose Funeral Services in Pearsall, TX. A Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at 10:00a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Dilley, TX, with interment to follow in Latin American Cemetery in Dilley, TX.
