Selma Gutierrez, a beacon of kindness and compassion, departed this world on December 29, 2025, leaving behind a legacy woven with love and care. Born on October 21, 1961, Selma dedicated her life not only to her family but also to the nurturing of countless souls who crossed her path as a devoted care provider. She possessed a good heart that resonated with those she served, reflecting her beautiful spirit that lit up the lives of many.
Her heart was a beautiful, shining example of how one person can make a profound impact on others through simple acts of kindness. She dedicated her life to ensuring that those around her felt cared for and valued, and her memory will live on through the countless individuals she influenced.
She is survived by her loving husband, George Santos, who cherished her warmth and kindness, her Stepdaughter, Jeanette and husband Freddy, their children Faith and Noah. Her family extends further with a brother, Tomas Gutierrez Jr., and sister-in-law, Maria, as well as nephew and niece Tomas III and Isabel. Selma leaves behind her beloved sister Sylvia Gutierrez and her husband David as well as her niece Danielle, alongside a multitude of nieces: Cynthia, Felicia, Delilah, Michelle, Nicole, Emma Jo and their children, as well as numerous relatives and friends who will carry her spirit forward.
She now joins her beloved parents, Tomas and Emma Gutierrez, who predeceased her, along with her brother, Joel Gutierrez, and her dearly departed grandparents. Their reunion is surely filled with boundless love and joyous memories.
A visitation to celebrate Selma's life will be held on January 5, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Primrose Funeral Services in Pearsall, TX. Following this, a Mass in her honor will take place on January 6, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, also in Pearsall.
Selma Gutierrez leaves behind not just memories but a legacy of love, kindness, and resilience. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of all those who were fortunate to know her.
