Abel Theriot Obituary
Visitation will be held at Falgout Funeral Home, in Lockport, on Wednesday, August 10th from 5 pm until 9 pm and will continue on Thursday from 8:30 am until service time. A funeral service will be held at 11 am with burial to follow in Holy Savior Cemetery.
Abel is survived by his children, Mike (Sally) Theriot Sr., Wanda Theriot, Aline Terrebonne, Rebecca (Tony) Robbins, Darlene (Kevin) Matherne and Sheila (Efrain) Juarez; 14 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Nellie Mae St. Pierre, Rose Theriot, Claudia Schouest, Beverly Chauvin and brothers, Raleigh Theriot Sr., Robert Theriot Sr. and Rogers Theriot.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Griffin Theriot; parents, Abel Theriot Sr. and Nellie Orgeron Theriot; great-granddaughter, Angelene Almaraz; sisters, Mabel Rivet and Linda Theriot; brothers, Lee J. Theriot Sr., Eugene Theriot Sr. and Adam Theriot Sr.; sons-in-law, Toby Terrebonne and Audie Price Sr.
Abel enjoyed being in the outdoors hunting and fishing for turtles. He loved spending time and being with his family. He is the founder of 10 Point Buck Hunting Club.
