Abelardo Estrada
Mr. Abelardo Estrada passed away on Thursday October 19, 2023 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. He was fifty-nine years old. Mr. Estrada was born in Mexico City on March 3, 1964 to Severino Estrada-Astudillo and Fernanda Salas-Clemente. He came to the United States in November of 1988 and has lived in New Brunswick since. He came to be known as "El Pariente" within his community.
He was currently employed by Vending Trucks in East Brunswick as a mechanic. Prior to his current position he worked for nearly twenty years as a diesel technician with HK Truck in Piscataway. He was a parishioner of Iglesia Nuestra Senora Del Carmen in New Brunswick.
Mr. Estrada was a knowledgeable mechanic who frequently would use his skills to help others. He worked hard to provide for his family and was a dedicated father and husband. In his free time he could be found helping family and friends or in car yards finding extra parts.
He is survived by his wife Silvia Estrada-Morales and their children Ivan Estrada, Diana Estrada, Abraham Estrada and his partner Idania Palma. He is also survived by his granddaughter Azula Juniper Estrada.
Visiting will be held on Sunday from 5-8 PM at Gleason Funeral Home 1360 Hamilton Street in Somerset. Funeral services will begin on Monday at 9 AM at the funeral home followed by a 10 AM mass at St. Ladislaus Church in New Brunswick. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Piscataway.
