Abigail Jane (Welch) Goldman, known to family and friends as Gail, passed away on August 21, 2025. She was born December 18, 1940, in Baltimore, Maryland, to Hugh and Jane (Coffin) Welch. A beloved wife and mother, Gail's life was devoted both to her family and her career as a social worker, caring not only her own children and their families, but also the children and families of her community. Her retirement was well spent, enjoying her grandchildren and mastering her many hobbies, including gardening, baking, reading, and knitting.

Gail is survived by her husband, Fred Goldman; her children and their spouses, Rebecca Wyatt (Brian), Molly Jackson (Michael), Beth Pharr (William), and Mark Goldman (Rebecca); her ten grandchildren; and her sister, Martha Welch Taylor. She was preceded in death by her sister, Deborah Welch Cutler.

Donations in honor of Abigail Goldman can be made to Ronald McDonald House Charities Maryland.

The services will be private.
