Weslaco- Abundia L. Tafolla, 101, went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 30, 2024 at her residence in Weslaco.
Mrs. Tafolla was born on July 9, 1923 to Mr. Emilio Lopez and Mrs. Concepcion Martinez Lopez in Michoacan, Mexico.
Mrs. Tafolla is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Emilio Lopez and Mrs. Concepcion Martinez Lopez; her son, Jose Tafolla; her son-in-laws, Salvador Aguiniga, Ramon Piceno; her brothers, Emilio Lopez, Antonio Lopez, Feliciano Lopez; her sisters, Jesus Lopez, Angelita Lopez, Maria Lopez.
Left to cherish her memories are her sons, Pedro (Elisa) Tafolla, Emilio (Patricia) Tafolla, Martin (Angelita) Tafolla; her daughters, Dolores Tafolla, Luz Tafolla, Concepcion (Armando Sanchez) Tafolla, Esperanza (Jaime Aguirre) Tafolla, Laura (Rogelio Vasquez) Tafolla; her brother, Juan Lopez; her sister, Carmen Lopez; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation for Mrs. Abundia L. Tafolla is scheduled for Friday, January 3, 2025 from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home- Chapel of the Heavens. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Mercedes. Interment will follow at Mercedes Memorial Restlawn in Mercedes.
Funeral Services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home of Weslaco.
