AC Lingerfelt
AC Lingerfelt, age 88, went home to his Heavenly Father on November 14, 2025, at 4:05 p.m. in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Born in Belmont, NC, he was the son of the late Arthur Clyde Lingerfelt and the late Vivian Bernice Lingerfelt. In addition to his parents, AC was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 57 years, Joan; his eldest daughter, Cheryn; his brothers, Cecil and James; and his sister, Audrey Pullen.

He is also survived by his brothers O'Neil and Larry, his sisters Judy and Gail, and many nieces and nephews.
AC proudly served in the United States Air Force for 26 years in the medical field. Following his military career, he continued his lifelong commitment to helping others by working in mental health, later retiring from the VA in the late 1990s.
Known for his kind, loving, and caring nature, AC touched the lives of everyone he met. Quiet but deeply thoughtful, he never met a stranger and was always willing to extend a helping hand.
He found joy in fishing, traveling, reading, and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandson-moments that brought him tremendous pride and happiness.
AC will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him. His legacy of compassion, service, and love will continue to live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
Services will be held at French Funeral, 9300 Golf Course Rd. NW, Albuquerque, NM 87114, on Wednesday, November 26, 2025. A viewing will begin at 12:30 p.m., followed by services at 1:00 p.m.
