I met Ace only once in my life, and only for a few hours, as I attended a training course he delivered on the Phraselator in Iraq. His name was so unique that to this day, 20 years later, I still remembered it and it led me to this obituary. Ace clearly lived a full life decorated with numerous achievements! My condolences to his family, though I hope it´s comforting to know that this amazing man - whose name alone left an permanent impression on my memory - has influenced the lives of countless people and left a lasting legacy.

I just learned of Ace´s passing from the Mar-Apr `25 Shipmate. Ace was my Statics instructor at USNA in spring `77. He left me with many fond memories, one of which was his annual invitation to his students, that were unable to return home, to celebrate Christmas with his family. While we were not close, he left me with several life lessons and memories that have stuck with me. My deepest condolences.

I met Ace only once, but I know of him through many others and over many years. I regret that I didn't know him personally. He was a genuine hero and man of God. It is a privilege to learn more about him through those who are speaking during his Celebration of Life. Sarich family, you are on my heart and in my prayers. God's Blessings, Jeanne Beans

We attended home Bible studies together and hosted many crab feasts. First Ace would come and eat the bodies, leaving the claws for Lynn and then Ace would leave to sit with the girls while we enjoyed fellowship with Lynn! Many fond memories! We will enjoy many more when we all join in heaven! Praise God!

Ace was my friend and a fellow Alumni. He was a skilled engineer and a most valuable coworker. He lived life to the fullest. I enjoyed being along for some of the ride and memories.

Ace mentored me in 1982, while I took his course in hyperbaric chamber design, at the USNA. In 1983, with his encouragement, I went to BUDs, graduated and spent 21 years doing a job both of us found truly rewarding. I ran into him later in my career, in Afghanistan, where he was still contributing. He built a device we could talk into, and the locals would understand the translation that came out...invaluable!!
My most cherished memory is how he started class each day: 1) Short Prayer, followed by 2) The Pledge of Allegiance to a small flag he place in the overhead projector. I never had or have since, a professor with the *&)$s and conviction to do right and ignore PC inanity. RIP Frogman!

Ace was my Commanding Officer in Vietnam. He was highly regarded by all who worked with him. My condolences to family and friends.
