Ada Jean "Jones" Gilbert

Ada Jean Gilbert (Jones), age 67, went to be with her Lord and Saviour on Tuesday January 27, 2026. She was born January 28, 1959, in Wilmington, the daughter of the late James C. and Ruby F. (Crawford) Jones. She loved her grandchildren very much. Surviving Ada are her two daughters, Erin Jones and Jerricka Gilbert, both of Wilmington; her grandchildren, Sierra (Josh) Smith, Michaela Bailey, Xander Bli Kretchek, Ryker Gilbert and Ossian Meineke; and great granddaughter, Adaleigha. In addition to her parents, Ada is preceded in death by her husband, Mike Gilbert; daughter, Juanita Gilbert; and her sister, Janet Mitchell Franek. Memorial services will be 11:00 am on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at Wilmington Church of God. Pastor Rich Boll will officiate. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am until the service begins at 11:00 am. Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington, is assisting the family.
