Ada Mae Spivey 70 passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at her home on February 19, 2026. She was born in Clay County, Kentucky July 10, 1955, to the late Otto and Genette (Neeley) Rice.

She is survived by her children Harold Lee (Sara) Marcum of Richmond, Indiana, Patricia (Roger) Pearson of Brodhead, David (Sara) Marcum of Eubank and Jeff Marcum of Berea. She was blessed with 14 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

In addition to her parents Ada Mae was preceded in death by her siblings. Jerry Rice, Kenneth Rice, Wayne Rice, Judy Summers, Geraldine Wells, Betty Ornuduff, Lois Wells and Michael Tankersley who was raised as her brother.

Ada Mae will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother who treated everyone she met as family. She was a devout Christian and member of The Anchor United Pentecostal Church. To know her, was to love her.

Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Monday, February 23, 2026, with Bro. Jeff Marcum and Bro. Craig Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in the Hurley Cemetery. Pallbearers include Joshua Pearson, Joseph Pearson, Harold Lee Marcum, Gary Summers, Josh Holliman

A visitation will be held on Sunday February 22, 2026, at the Lakes Funeral Home Chapel in McKee beginning at 6 P.M.
