Ada Ruth (Wildeson) Strite, 75, of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania passed away March 2, 2024, at home. She was born on May 12, 1948, in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania to Kenneth P. and Ruth (Keller) Wildeson. She was a wife, a helper, and one who cared about children. She helped with the Bible Release Program and was with the Franklin County Builders Auxiliary and the United States Postal Service. She enjoyed gardening and reading.
Ada is survived by her husband of nearly 57 years, James C. Strite, children Carl D. Strite and his wife Karla, Lora Coldsmith and her husband Shawn, and Valerie Strite, all of Chambersburg. She has four grandchildren: Caleb and Hayley Strite of Altoona, Dalton and Samantha Strite of Reedsville, Joshua and Abigail Coldsmith of Dillsburg, Andrew Coldsmith of Camp Hill, and one great-grandson Phinehas Coldsmith. She is also survived by two siblings: Harold Wildeson (Karen) and Fay Alleman (Carl), and a brother-in-law Glenn Musselman.
In addition to her parents, Ada is preceded in death by her sister, Edna Musselman.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at 11:00 AM, at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Ltd., Chambersburg with Pastor Kevin Witter officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM and for one hour prior to the service on Thursday, both at the funeral home. Interment will be held at 3:00 PM at Price's Church (Antietam) Cemetery in Waynesboro. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Ada's name to The Gideon's International, P.O. Box 301, Chambersburg, PA, 17201 and The Tide, P.O. Box 399, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
