Adam A. Frye Sr.

Of Millis, where he lived for 24 years, and previously of California and Ohio, died peacefully while in Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston. He was 61 years old.
Adam was born in Dayton, Ohio on January 13, 1962 to Eugene R. and Frances Irene (Doan) Frye Sr.
Adam graduated in 1980 from Xenia High School in Ohio. He enlisted in the United States Air Force on January 21, 1987 and had an 11 year career. Adam left as a Space Systems Operations Instructor, but during his time in the service he earned many certifications: Aircraft Maintenance Technology, Space Operations Technology, and Instructor of Technology and Military Science. Also, during his time in the Air Force, he earned his BS in Organizational Management from University of LaVerne, and his Master's in IT Project Management from Villanova.
After his honorable discharge in 1998, Adam continued his work in ground space operations working for the Harvard Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, and he loved his work. During his leisure time, Adam loved cooking, grilling and spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed his weekends on the Cape, camping, and fixing cars. He loved to take things apart and reassemble them.
Adam is survived by his wife Mary E. (Smith) Frye and his children Danielle O'Brien (Nathan), Chelsea McKinney (Raphael), Preston Frye, Hillary States (Kyle), Henry Smith (Selena) and Adam "AJ" Frye, Jr. (Ema). He also leaves behind his grandchildren Connor, Georgianna and Frances, his siblings Eugene Frye, Jr. (Laura), Debbie Leach (Steve), sisters-in-law Janet Glennon (Michael), Patty Jardine (Frank), and a plethora of nephews and nieces. Adam was predeceased by infant brother Brian, his parents, and brother Conrad Frye, whom we sadly lost in 2022.
A Memorial Service for Adam will be celebrated on Friday, June 30, 2023, 10:00 AM, at Roberts Mitchell Caruso Funeral Home, 15 Miller St., Medfield, MA 02052 followed by interment at Prospect Hill Cemetery. Visiting will be the evening prior, Thursday, June 29, 2023, from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM, also at the Funeral Home's Medfield location.
