Adam Leitel Obituary
He was born on February 27, 1981 to John and Ruth (Jacobsen) Leitel at Bismarck, ND. He graduated from Moorhead High School, Moorhead, Minnesota, and went on to graduate from the University of Kansas and Pace University with his Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in history.
Adam enjoyed a career in teaching and coaching. He began at Northeast High in Kansas City, Missouri, and worked subsequently for Free State High School, Lawrence Kansas, until the time of his death.
He was a lifelong sports fan and was passionate about the Kansas City Chiefs, the Kansas City Royals and the Kansas Jayhawks. Every year on his birthday, he bought himself a new Royals cap.
Adam is survived by his parents, Ruth Leitel of Greeley, Colorado and John Leitel of Moorhead, MN, his siblings, Ann Leitel of New Hope, MN, Mary Leitel Taylor (Colin) of Vista, California, and Micah Leitel of Moorhead, Minnesota, as well as aunts and uncles scattered across the country. He was preceded in death by his four grandparents, John and Eleanore Leitel and Pastor Fred and Margret Jacobsen, his Uncle Paul Jacobsen and his beloved dog, Chuck.
Memorials are suggested to the Kansas City Pet Project or the Kansas City Public Library.
