Adam MacLean Obituary

Published by Legacy on Jan. 28, 2025.
Adam Vincent MacLean (50) passed away unexpectedly on January 7, 2025. Born in Houston, Texas, on November 4th, 1974, to John and Elaine MacLean, Adam was the last of 7 children. He was the perfect end cap to the MacLean Clan. Adam and his siblings were born of goodly parents, and he carried forward a legacy of kindness, compassion, and devotion to family and faith.
In his youth growing up in Houston, Adam enjoyed playing soccer, riding bikes, and spending time with family and friends. Adam was very close to his parents and cherished his relationship with them. Late night chats with his mom and father-son trips with his dad and brothers were significant memories in his life. He graduated from John Foster Dulles High School in 1993 and went on to earn a Masters of Accounting from Brigham Young University. At his passing, Adam was the local Chief Financial Officer of a national financial firm. His professional accomplishments were matched by his dedication to serving others and his deep love for the Lord. Adam fulfilled many church callings throughout his life and cherished the opportunity he had to serve a two-year mission in Scotland, where he embraced his Scottish heritage.
A devoted husband and father, Adam was married to Stacey for 26 fulfilling years. Their wedding day was distinguished by the groom, fathers, and groomsmen dressed to the hilt in MacLean tartan kilts, honoring Adam's Scottish heritage. Together, Adam and Stacey raised six amazing children in Round Rock, Texas who were the light of his life. He found immense joy in coaching his kids' soccer teams (officially, and unofficially on the sidelines) and spending quality time with his family. His good sense of humor and compassionate nature left an indelible mark on all who knew him.
Adam was preceded in death by his parents, John and Elaine MacLean, as well as his sister Heidi (Dave). He is survived by his wife Stacey, his children Ashley (Aubrey), Cole, David, Lindsey, Justin, and Lauren, and his siblings Wendi (Abraham), Heather (Tim), Tana (Bruce), Paul (Pam), and Jared (Leann). His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
A Celebration of Life will be held on February 8th at 1 pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. 8140 Racine Trail, Austin, Texas 78717.
May Adam's legacy of love, service, and faith bring comfort to all who knew him. Those of us who knew him well consider it a privilege to have been touched by his life. His love and spirit will linger long in our hearts. We look forward to the time when we will meet again!
Please send any floral deliveries to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on 8140 Racine Trail, Austin, Texas 78717 between 9 - 11am.
