Though his time with us was far too short, his life was full of love, laughter, and light that touched everyone who knew him. Adam was a cherished son, brother, father, cousin and friend. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Adam passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2025. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jacquel Smith, and aunts, Annie Smith and Tammy Thomas,
He is survived by his loving parents, Connie Smith and Greg Payne, his baby boy, Zaylan Queshun Payne, his sister, Aja Payne, brothers, Benton Dudley, Daquan Smith, Gregtazis Payne, Johnathon Bush, grandmothers, Jacqueline Rozier and Annie Surry, his aunts, Amelia (Brandon) Mack, Tina Hosley, April Smith, his uncles, Terrence (Benita) Brown of New Orleans, Louisiana, Alvin (Chiquita) Payne of Kathleen, Charles Kinsey of Douglasville, and Horace Mitchell of Montrose.
