Funeral services for Mrs. Idella Mahalie Jackson of
Dublin, Georgia, will be held on Monday, September 29, 2025, at 1:00 PM at God's Divine Vision Ministry, 600 Telfair Street in Dublin, with the Pastor Ricky B. Stanley and Pastor Tremaine Tarver officiating. Interment will follow in the Pine Hill Christian Church Cemetery in Cadwell, Georgia.
Mrs. Jackson was born on Tuesday, June 6, 1933, in Cadwell to the late Willie and Rebecca Mitchell. She attended Pine Forest and Mary Grove High School. Idella was employed as a domestic worker for several families in the community and worked as a laundry employee.
On July 23, 1949, she married the late J. T. Jackson and to this union, two children were born, Clarence Jackson and Linda Jackson. She joined the Pine Hill Christian Church at an early age under the leadership of Elder Leon Simmons. She later joined the Warren Grove Holiness Church where she served on the usher board for many years until her health declined. In the last decade of her life, she became a member of God's Divine Vision Ministry.
Mrs. Jackson passed away on Thursday, September 25, 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two grandchildren, Jeffery Floyd and Deshawn Jackson, brothers, Robert Lee, John Lee, Milton, Sr., Jacob Mitchell, and Tommie Mitchell, four sisters, Neomia Boston, Margaret McCloud, Lucille Burch and Melonea Smith, and by daughter-in-law, Fannie Jackson.
She leaves to cherish her memories one son, Clarence Lee Jackson, Sr., of Detroit, Michigan, daughter, Linda Marie (Nathaniel) Isaac of East Dublin, stepdaughter, Linda Gayle (Donnell) Hall of Lumber City, bonus sons, Billy Boston, Roger (Annie) Boston, Delmas (Veyln) Scott of Swainsboro, and Pastor Tremaine (Demi) Tarver of Dublin, bonus daughter Ann (Porter) Woods of Rentz, three grandchildren, Clarence (Stephanie) Jackson, Jr., of Detroit, Michigan, Antonio Isaac of Atlanta, and Christopher Lee (Nia) Isaac of Asheville, North Carolina, very special double-first cousin, Florine Bostic of Detroit, special nieces and nephews, Elizabeth (Dwight) Pullins of Dublin, Shirley Mann of Eastman, Margaret (Ron) Smith of Jacksonville, Florida, Bessie (Howard) Gordon of Woodbridge, New Jersey, Calvin (Ann) McCloud of Dublin, Jeraldine Dewberry of Cadwell, close friend, Odessa Jackson of Dublin, Ella Mae Ashley of Dudley, caregivers, Carol Jones, Martha Robinson, Elaine Carswell, Jeraldine Dewberry and Malachi Bonneau.
