Addie Eugenia (Benson) Progen
Friday evening September 12, 2025, Addie took her last breath in the same hospital where she was born, November 29, 1925, Emerson Hospital Concord Ma. Predeceased by her parents, Leonard and Millicent Benson, as well as siblings Martha and Gardner and her husband William M. Progen. Loving Mother of Ann L. Cancellieri and husband Daniel of Austin Texas. Deborah L. Richardson and Wayne of Boxborough, and the late Robert V. Progen. Survived by Grandchildren: Kevin, James, and Mark Richardson; Tina and Scott Cancellieri; & Jessica and Joshua Progen. Also survived by Great Grandchildren; including Clyde and Thomas Richardson.
Addie had a full life. She graduated with her degree in Accounting/Bookkeeping from Bryant & Stratton College. She started working at Sid, AC Chevrolet. She was an active member of the South Acton Congregational Church for many years. She enjoyed her time later in life watching the birds outside her window, looking at the changing seasons during car rides and chatting to visitors. Anyone who knew her, will recall her many arguments with Judge Judy, endless word searches and her Chow Mein noodles. From making silly faces in pictures to enjoying joking around, her humor will not be matched.
A visitation will be held in the Acton Funeral Home, 470 Massachusetts Avenue (RT 111), Acton, on Friday, September 19th, 2025 from 10 AM ~ 12 PM with a service at 11:30 AM. Private cremation with burial to happen at a future date.
