Addison Clifton “Cliff” Conover Jr., 73, of Jasper, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, January
27, 2026 at Columbus Rehab Facility in Columbus, Wisconsin.
Cliff was born on February 22, 1952 in Champagne, Illinois to Addison C. and Pauline
(Gould) Conover. After completing his high school education, Cliff joined the United States Navy. He traveled the world while he proudly served as a U.S. Navy Seabee for twenty years before he retired. He spent most of his retirement honing his craftsmanship in the workshop, reconnecting with his children, and dabbling with 3D printing. Cliff was never scared to speak his mind, he was driven to share his knowledge on any subject with anyone who’d listen, he had a fierce stubborn streak but a heart of gold when you least expected it. He will be deeply missed.
Cliff is survived by his wife, Ginny Conover of Jasper, Georgia; children Jeff (Michelle) Conover of Cambridge, Wisconsin, Jodi (Jason) Brandsma of Deerfield, Wisconsin, Lee Ann (Bryan) Barton of Jasper, Georgia, Spencer (Libby) Schlampp of Dallas, Georgia; grandchildren Chase and Kyle Conover, Trevor Morgan, Elijah, Evangeline, Merci, and Enoch Barton, and Caralyn
Schlampp; siblings Luther “Luke” Conover of Champaign, Illinois, Patricia (Robert) Hansen of Hagerstown, Indiana, and Allen (Myra) Conover of Columbia, Missouri.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Addison and Pauline Conover; brother Charles Conover, and sisters Carol Goodwin, Ima Jean Solverude, and Linda Buchanan.
