Adele "Della" Milnes

Adele “Della” Milnes, 97, of Hope formerly of Johnston, passed peacefully away on Sunday February 8, 2026. Born in Johnston, she was the daughter of the late Mariano and Rosa (Paliotto) DiFazio. She was the beloved wife of the late William Milnes.

Alongside her husband Bill, she enjoyed impromptu scenic drives to Connecticut, New Hampshire, and Vermont. Those rides weren’t complete without singing their favorite songs together. She loved to see the newest babies, from her nieces and nephews and looked forward to seeing them as they continued to grow. Her love for those children was also shown as she attended the weddings of all those beloved family members, seeing the brides made her face light up. She was a devout catholic and long-time member of St. Rocco’s Church, attending until she was no longer able. She also took great pride in caring for her house, to be able to entertain her extended family.

She is survived by her sister Etta Morrocco. She was predeceased by her 11 siblings Susie Cardillo, Lucy Cherubino, Teolinda Corvese, Chistina DiLanna, Marco, Mario, Angelo, John, Albert, and Ernest DiFazio, and Anne Barone. She also leaves several nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held on TUESDAY  February 17, 2026, at 11:00 am at St. Rocco’s Church, 927 Atwood Ave., Johnston, 02919. Entombment will be in St. Ann Cemetery. VISITING HOURS will be held from 8:00 – 10:00 am at the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
