Adelia Lavon Priebe

Adelia Lavon Priebe of Sunman passed away on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at the Waters of Batesville. The daughter of William Sr. and Irma Stroman was born on January 12, 1943 in Jacksonville, FL. She just celebrated her 83rd birthday.

Adelia married Larry Keith Priebe and together they celebrated 48 years of marriage before he passed away in 2008. She worked in printing and graphic design until she retired.

Adelia's friends and family knew she was an amazing woman. She always had a smile on her face that could warm up any room she walked into. God gives us all talents to make this world a better place, and Adelia was one who used that gift fully. She loved creating. Her artwork and paintings enriched the lives of so many people and will continue to live on, to be enjoyed by them, long after her passing.

She will be dearly missed by her son Bryan (Lori) Priebe, along with her grandchildren, Benjamin Priebe, Nathan (Natalia) Priebe and Donna Lavon Priebe.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Larry; son, Devlin Priebe; and her siblings, Patricia Stroman and William Stroman Jr.

Friends and family may call on Friday, January 30, 2026, from 4-6 pm followed by Rosary at 6:00 pm all at Meyers Funeral Home in Batesville. Cremation was chosen by the family, and there will be a graveside service in the Freedom Cemetery in Waveland, IN at a later date.
