Robert H. Weber, age 90, of rural Evansville, passed away Saturday March 7, 2026, at West River Health Campus.

Robert was born November 4, 1935, in Vanderburgh County to the late George and Anna (Matz) Weber. He graduated from Mater Dei High School in 1953 and Evansville College in 1958. He married Mildred (Hertel) Weber on February 1, 1958. She preceded him in death in 2015 after 57 years of marriage.

Following his college graduation, Robert proudly served three years in the United States Air Force. After his military service, he moved to Washington, Indiana, where he worked as a licensed professional engineer specialized in design and consulting. He focused in mechanical and electrical systems for commercial, educational, and institutional buildings. He was a Life Member of both the National Society of Professional Engineers and the American Society of Heating and Air Conditioning Engineers. Robert retired from Weber Engineering and returned to the Evansville area in 2003. In retirement, he became an accomplished woodworker and especially enjoyed crafting birdhouses.

In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by his brothers Clement, Clarence, and Charles Weber; and his sisters Mary Seib and Kathryn Altstadt.

Robert is survived by his daughters Mary Ellen (Ron) Wire and Eileen Weber, both of Evansville, and Jennifer (Lee) Weber-Knudson of Bismarck, ND; and by his sons Jim (Theresa) Weber of Greenwood, IN, Robert J. (Carolyn Ebe) Weber of Houston, TX, and Andrew (Tiffany) Weber of Sunman, IN. He is also survived by his sister Betty Kamuf of Cincinnati, OH; his brother Eugene Weber of Evansville; and sisters in law Rosemary Weber and Kitty Weber, both of Evansville.

Robert is also survived by many grandchildren: Amanda (David) Lester, Jacob (Michelle) Weber, Jason (Caitlin Chagan) Wire, Valerie (Alijah Rojas) Wire, Matthew (Sierra Lyle) Ebeweber, Aaron (Kayla Wiltz) Ebeweber, Thomas and Joseph Ebeweber, Katelyn Randazzo, Zoe (Jacob) Huber, Allyson (Evan) Lamping, Zachary (Annie) Weber, Lucas (Anna) Weber, Daniel, Benjamin, Jonathan, Elizabeth, Robert, and Margaret Weber; as well as 13 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:00 am on Friday, March 13, 2026, at St. Philip Catholic Church, Rev. Nick Biever officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family from 3:00 until 7:00 PM on Thursday at Pierre Funeral Home, where there will be a memorial service conducted by the church at 4:00 PM. Friends may also visit with the family from 9:30 AM until time of service on Friday at St. Philip Church.
