Rita J. Morgan, 77, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at the Evansville Protestant Home.

Rita was born on July 16, 1948, in Francisco, Indiana, to the late Leroy and Katherine (Wulff) Casper. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and attended Lynnville United Methodist Church. Rita worked for Deaconess as a labor and delivery secretary. Rita was a loving mother; she loved to cook – especially her world-famous macaroni & cheese, which was always a favorite at family gatherings. She was a Christian woman and her relationship with Jesus was very important to her. Rita enjoyed reading and especially loved watching and rooting on her St. Louis Cardinals.

Surviving Rita is her son, David (Teressa) Morgan; her sisters, Wilma Maier and Jenny Casper; her sister-in-law, Madge Casper; and her stepson, Sam Morgan.

In addition to her parents, Rita was preceded in death by her brothers, Earl Casper and Bill Casper.

There will be a funeral service on Monday, March 9, 2026, at Pierre Funeral Home at 11:00 AM, Reverend Josh Sanders officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family from 9:00 AM until service time on Monday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street.

Memorial contributions may be made to Lynnville United Methodist Church, 210 E. Third Street, Lynnville, IN 47619.
