Adeline Brech Obituary
Parkston – Adeline O. Brech, 87, went to her heavenly home Wednesday, October 25 at Avera Bormann Manor. Funeral service will be Saturday, October 28 at 10:30 am at Trinity Lutheran Church in Mitchell. Visitation will be Friday, October 27 from 5 to 7 pm with a 6:00 pm prayer service at Trinity Lutheran Church in Mitchell. Memorials would be prefered in lieu of flowers.
Adeline was born September 15, 1936 to William and Amelia (Dewald) Bietz on the family farm five miles east of Tripp, SD. She attended Lake Region country school through the 8th grade. For 3 years, she worked at Fergen's Produce in Parkston, SD. It was on the bus ride home from work that she met the love of her life and future husband, George Brech. The couple was united in marriage on October 12, 1958 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Mitchell, SD. They lived in Mitchell for seven years before moving to Parkston where they have lived since. Through the years, Adeline worked at Modern Cleaners and Luiken's Bakery in Mitchell but her favorite job was working at the Dairy Mart in Parkston because she met so many people there. She enjoyed embroidering, gardening, ceramics, and playing various card and board games but her favorite times came when the entire family would get together.
Grateful for having shared her life are her 2 children: Douglas Brech of Parkston and Janet (Mike) Muilenburg of Ethan, SD; a step-grandson, Corey (Kylie) Muilenburg of Rapid City, SD; a sister-in-law, Idella Bietz of Tripp; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George; a sister, Glady (Marvin) Bitterman; a brother, Ray Bietz; and a nephew, Lyle Bitterman.
