Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Adeline “Nina” Guidry Arcement, age 85, entered peacefully into Heaven on Monday, January 13, 2025. She has now reunited in Heaven with her loving parents, Joseph and Adella Guidry and her seven siblings and their spouses, Joseph Guidry (Marie), Ellavea Fabre (Alvin), Clinton “Pops” Guidry (Ethel), Rosalie Caulfield (Jules), Vivian Thibodeaux (Edward), Clarence Guidry (Faye), Patsy Logan (Richard). She is also preceded in death by her son-in-law, William Ducoing, her grandson, Caleb Favaloro, her brother-in-law, Allen “Chopper” Arcement, sister-in-law, Patsy Arcement, and her life-long friend, Carolyn Dufrene.
Nina is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Lester Charles Arcement, her children, Craig Arcement (Connie), Tammy Ducoing-Warden (Derek), Della Favaloro (Paul), her grandchildren, Craig Arcement, Jr. (Brandi), Shaylyn Lew (Kenny), Andia Leyva (Michael), Mequa Mills (Jonathan), Connor Favaloro, Kenzie Favaloro, Dylan Ducoing and Alexus Warden, her great-grandchildren, Madison Arcement, Kaden Lew, Breana Ducoing, Luke Arcement, Kami Leyva, Kamren Lew, Bentley Ducoing, Steven Leyva and Blakely Mills.
Nina had a heart of gold. She loved life, her huge family and was a friend to anyone who met her. She was also a devoted and faithful Catholic and worked for years with the Catholic Council and Ladies Altar Society. She is also survived by a huge host of relatives and she loved everyone dearly.
Visitation will be held at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 2653 Jean Lafitte Boulevard in Lafitte, LA on Friday, January 17, 2025 from 10 am until 12 noon. A Funeral Mass will follow. Interment Westlawn Memorial Park in Gretna.
