Adelmo J. López aka “Memo”; 76, a life-long resident of Chamisal, NM, passed away on June 7, 2024. 

 

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Maryanne S. López; parents Alfonso & Julia D. López; siblings Estevan P. López, Ruby Atencio, Maria J. Martinez, Jose R. López, Gerald J. López, in-laws; Fidel & Elisea Sandoval, brothers in-law, Eloy Atencio, Julian Martinez, Jacob Sandoval, sister in-law, Emily Martinez and other various family members.

 

Memo is survived by his sons; Adelmo Matías López (Henry), Fidel López (Clarice), Steve López (Jamie), step-grandchildren; Jerome & Jayleni Medina, stepdaughter; Marissa Sandoval (Justin), Godson; George Valdez Jr. (Daisy). Brothers; Alfonso H. López Jr., Luis López (Jeannette) and Clyde López (Jane). Special nieces; Isabel B. López, Isidora López, and Cariña Arellano.  In-laws; Ben Sandoval (Crissy), Carmelita Archuleta (Michael), Sandra Valdez (George), Patricia Torres, Mary Sandoval and Benito Martinez along with many other family members, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

 

The López Family would like to thank Hope from Los Alamitos Home Healthcare and the many caretakers that provided care for Memo, these past few years of his life. 

 

A public visitation will be held on Friday, June 21, 2024, at 9:30 am at the San Antonio de Padua Catholic Church in Peñasco, NM, followed by the Holy Rosary at 10:00 am and Funeral mass at 11:00 am. Burial to follow at the Chamisal Community Cemetery.

 The Lopez Family would like to invite you to a Celebration of Life Reception at the Peñasco Community Center immediately following the service. 

 

Serving as Pallbearers are: 

Adelmo Matías López, Fidel López, Henry Romero, Jerome Medina, John López and George Valdez Jr. 

 

Honorary Pallbearers are: Alfonso H. López, Luis López, Clyde López, Isabel B. López and Jayleni Medina.
