Adolfo A. Camacho Rivero, 83, of Manchester died Thursday October 26, 2023 peacefully at his home with his family by his side after a long fought battle with metastatic bladder cancer.
Born July 6, 1940 in Matanzas Cuba, he was the son of Pedro Adolfo Camacho and Daria Camacho Rivero. He was the oldest of six with five younger sisters. In October 1961, his family left Cuba when Castro took over. Adolfo attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and received his master’s degree in electrical engineering.
For his first job he moved to Buffalo, NY where he met his wife Camille (Skowron) while working at Westinghouse. They have enjoyed 55 years of marriage together. Adolfo’s career took them to North Potomac, Maryland where they raised their two daughters and lived for 40 years. The family moved to New Hampshire in 2009.
Adolfo will be remembered for his love of family. Though he was not a social butterfly, he was happiest when the family was all together. All who knew him, know how much he loved taking lots of photos and videos, researching anything and everything, and helping his family be the best they could be. He will be missed dearly by all who loved him.
Adolfo is survived by his wife Camille Camacho of Manchester; his daughter Dr. Candice Camacho & her husband Dr. Christopher Riccio of Bedford; his grandsons Brian, Dylan, & Andrew Riccio; his sisters Daria Maldonado, Mirtha Coppen, Sonia Sosa, Alena Gingerich & Ida Dunne; and many nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter Dr. Cheri Camacho.
