Adrian F. Dessi

Adrian F. Dessi, a resident of Carmel and Mahopac since 1980 passed away on Tuesday February 3, 2015 at the age of 69 with his loving family by his side. He was born in Brooklyn, the son of Adrian and Marie Vastola Dessi. Adrian earned his MBA at St. John's University. He was a marketing executive and consultant with Avon in Manhattan for many years. Following Avon, he was a direct marketing executive at Sunstar, with offices in Manhattan and Japan, retiring in 2007. He was a member of The Direct Marketing Association and of St. John's Prep Alumni Association and a former member of the Mahopac Lions Club. Adrian loved to travel and loved golf. He was an avid Lionel train hobbyist and an avid reader. On August 16, 1969 he married Patricia LaRosa at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Brooklyn. In addition to Patricia, he is survived by his sons, Mark and his wife Antonella, and Chris and his wife Laura, all of Chappaqua, his brother, Joseph (Marie) of Port Jefferson, NY and his sister Carol (Tony) of Medford, NY and his grandchildren, Sophia, Julia, Talia, Luke and Olivia. Visiting will be held on Friday February 6 from 3-5 and 7-9 pm at Joseph J. Smith Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday February 7 at 11 am at St. John The Evangelist Church in Mahopac with interment to follow at Rose Hills Memorial Park, Putnam Valley.
