CMSgt Adrian Furman Ingram, Jr., husband of Coleen Rodgers Ingram, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at the home of his daughter and son-in-law.

Adrian was born on January 7, 1935, in Sumter, S.C. He was the son of the late Adrian Furman Ingram, Sr. and the late Jessie Skipper Ingram. He was a 1953 graduate of Edmunds High School.

Adrian accepted the Lord as his Savior at the age of 14 and was a very active member of Southside Baptist Church for 77 years where he was ordained as a deacon in 1960. He taught Sunday School, as well as serving on many committees include the Pastor Search Committee. He studied his Bible and walked his faith.

In 1954, he joined the S.C. Air National Guard and served for 36 years. In 1961, he was activated into the U.S. Air Force during the Berlin Crisis. Upon his retirement in 1990, he began instructing in Automotive Technology at Central Carolina Technical College in Sumter for seven years and at Florence Darlington Technical College for seven years, where he was an influence on many young men.

Adrian was a people person and never met a stranger and was eager to help everyone.

Survivors include his wife of nearly 68 years; his daughter, Tammy Morris (Mac); two grandsons, Taylor Morris (Liz) and Ryan Morris (Alex); a granddaughter, Madalyn Morris Bouknight (Jake); six great-grandchildren, Mac, Lawson, Ginny, Ava, Emery, and Callahan.; a sister-in-law, Linda Ingram; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Wayne and Elaine Rodgers; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Leslie Ingram, Sr.

Funeral services will be held at 12 P.M. Tuesday, April 7, 2026, in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home chapel officiated by the Rev. Jimmy Holley and the Rev. Tommy Atkinson. Burial will be in the Sumter Cemetery.

Great-nephews will serve as pallbearers.

Honorary pallbearers will be Brent Russell, Myrtis Knotts, Robert Turner, David Thomas, Paul Derrick, and the men of Southside Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 P.M. Monday, April 6, 2026, at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home.

Memorials may be made to Southside Baptist Church, 1116 Manning Rd., Sumter, SC 29150.

The family would like to express a special thanks to their caregivers of Heartsong Hospice, Kaley, Chris, Deb, and Tammy.
