My gosh, where do I start. I first met "mom Baglione" in 1976, when Elaine moved in to our suite at SMU. We hit it off immediately, and our friendship blossomed. When not in school, the distance between Norwood and Wellesley was short and it wasn´t long before I met mom. She was the most welcoming and loving person I had ever met. She was also a one of a kind seamstress and an amazing cook. Our relationship evolved over the years. I always referred to her as mom, but she also became my best friend. I could and would often stop by with a bottle of wine, (of course) and something to munch on. I could sit with her for hours, listening to her stories of WW2, Nazi occupation in her grandmother´s house and the schrapnel that still remained in her body. I would occasionally bring my husband and the 3 of us would enjoy each other´s company, along with an incredible meal she would create, from chicken cacciatore to beef bourguignon. My husband loved her, too. She made me a better person, taught me how to love and express love. She always would bless me when I left her house which would fill me with a sense of comfort, security and love. She was my mother and best friend and meant more to me than I could ever express.
