It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michael Patrick Kiger, born March 8, 1996, in Omaha, Nebraska, who passed away on March 6, 2026. He was the beloved son of Janet Kiger of Omaha, Nebraska, and his late father, Ron Kiger.
He is survived by his four aunts: Kim Slickman and her husband Dan of Overland Park, Kansas; Karie Cross and her husband Robert Witherell of Omaha, Nebraska; Catherine Walsh of Norwood, Massachusetts; and Deborah Shea of Boca Raton, Florida. Michael leaves behind his ten cousins: Karie Wheeler, Joseph, and Matthew Slickman; Sara Herrin, JJ and Colin Cross; Lauren and Erin Shea; Caroline and Sean Wetherell; and his cherished partner Savannah Kell of Nashville, TN.
A Memorial Mass will be held in Michael's honor on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church, 654 S. 86th St. Michael touched the lives of all who knew him, and he will be deeply missed. Please join us in remembering and celebrating the remarkable person Michael was.
For those who wish to honor Michael's memory, memorial contributions may be made to Christ the King Parish Endowment, 654 S. 86th St., Omaha, 68114.
