Adrien Dure

Adrien Dure was born on February 10, 1940, in La Vallée de Jacmel, Haiti, where he was raised surrounded by family, cousins, nieces, and nephews who adored him. In 1950, he moved to Port-au-Prince to attend school, and in 1963, he joined his eldest brother, Philip, in New York before later settling in Evanston, Illinois.
In 1964, Adrien met the love of his life, Liliane Gregoire. The two were married on August 29, 1964, and shared more than 60 years of love, laughter, and devotion. Together, they raised three children - Stephanie, Hubert, and Michael - and later became the proud grandparents of Allyssa, Aarynn, Jordan (and her husband, Kyle), and Adrienne, and great-grandparents to their beloved Brooke.
Adrien worked for Material Services as a truck driver for over 30 years, where his work ethic and reliability reflected his deep sense of responsibility and pride. Outside of work, he was a man devoted to his family and community. He believed that "we are all we have" - and he lived by that creed every day. Whether driving 18 hours to help a relative, opening his home to friends, or serving faithfully at his church, Adrien showed up for those he loved - without question, without hesitation.
