Marie Celita Dure, affectionately known as Celita, was born on May 18, 1940, in Haiti. She departed this life on December 7, 2025, at Long Island Jewish Valley Stream, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and warmth that will be cherished by many.
Celita dedicated her life to her family as a devoted housewife. Her nurturing spirit was evident in every aspect of her life, from the home she created to the relationships she fostered. Her loving demeanor made a profound impact on those around her, and her children, along with an array of friends, will forever remember her for her genuine warmth and unwavering support.
Her journey will be honored with a Mass at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, located at 115-50 221st St, Cambria Heights, NY 11411, on December 18, 2025, starting at 10:00 AM. Following the Mass, a burial service will take place at St. Charles Cemetery, 2015 Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, NY 11735, at 12:00 PM.
In her memory and spirit, those who knew and loved Marie Celita Dure are invited to reflect upon the beauty and commitment she showcased throughout her life. Her legacy will continue to thrive in the hearts of her sons and friends, who will remember her with fondness and admiration.
