Bladdymira Dure Obituary
Bladdymira, child of Inocencia and Pedro Erico Galeano immigrated to the U.S in 1975, and settled in the Bronx, NY. Her beloved siblings, Ediltrudis "Mamacha", Zulema, and Ezekiel, eventually settled in California, Argentina, and Paraguay, respectively.
Bladdymira was lovingly married to her husband of 42 years, Juan "John/Pitolo", until his passing in 2015. For over 30 years they owned and operated the Fieldston Delicatessen in the Riverdale section of the Bronx. They were loved and respected members of the community who many considered family, rather than just business owners.
Bladdymira leaves behind daughters, Alice and Jessica, her beautiful granddaughters, Elena and Caterina, as well as many family members and friends who loved her immensely.
Visitation and memorial service will be held Sunday February 25, 2024 from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm at Riverdale-on-Hudson Funeral Home, 6110 Riverdale Avenue, Bronx, NY 10471.
