Deaconess Adrienne D Green

Deaconess Adrienne Denise Green was the daughter of the late Russell Green Sr. and Eleanor Holmes Green. She was born on December 11th, 1959, in Elizabeth, NJ. On October 9, 2025, Adrienne was called home to glory to be with the Lord God our
Father.
Adrienne Green was educated in the Elizabeth, NJ, school system, graduating in 1977. Her professional career began as an employee for the Elizabeth school system. She later found her true calling in providing security to the school. Anyone who knows Adrienne knows she loved being the center of attention and "The Head Greeter In Charge!" Serving as a security guard in addition to various titles along the way, she dedicated more than 20 years to the Elizabeth Board of Education, enchanting teachers, parents and students alike. She was delighted to bring a smile to brighten everyone's day.
Beyond her career and her personal ambitions, FAITH was at the center of Adrienne's life. She gave her life to Jesus Christ and
served faithfully at First Baptist Church, where she was a lifelong believer.
Adrienne pursued a higher understanding of her Lord and Savior with great passion. She started by first recommitting
herself to God and to her church. She followed by serving on the usher board, Missionary board, Mass choir, Voices of Victory
Choir, Sunday School, VBS, Women's Outreach, and Pastor's Aide.
Deaconess Adrienne Green was an avid lover of old westerns, black and white the older the better! Her personal hobbies
and creative passions consisted of harassing all four of her children, and she enjoyed sharing those talents with anyone
brave enough to get involved. She also gave generously of her time-volunteering with organizations, schools, and community
outreach through the church.
Affectionately known as "Suga Momma," she also cherished time spent traveling with her grandchildren to North Dakota,
New Mexico, Vermont and Oklahoma. She loved attending her grandchildren's various athletic games, fashion shows, and last
but not least, taking them Trick or Treating! One of her favorite pastimes was traveling on a bus ride to anywhere, especially Atlantic City!
Family was always the backbone of Adrienne's world. She loved family gatherings, traveling during the holidays, and making
lasting memories with loved ones and close friends. She will be remembered as a devout kind, compassionate, joyful, and wise
soul whose light touched everyone she met. As we celebrate Adrienne's return to the Lord, we also remember those who preceded her in death: Russell Green Sr. (father), Chester Green, (brother) and Dorothy Wactor (Aunt Dot)
Adrienne leaves behind a legacy of faith, service, generosity, and love. She is survived by her mother Eleanor Green, "life
partner in crime," Julius A Tobe, four children: Nadir Z. Green, Nazirah Z. Green, Julius A Tobe II, Jazminne A. Tobe, grandchildren: Ajanay, Kylah, ANaala, Kaleah, Kye, Julius III, Nadir Jr, Kassiyah, and Jeremiah, siblings: Russell Green,
Tauheed Muslim and Muhammad Asadi, nephews: QuaJaun, LeShane, Ibn, Jamaal, Ahmed, Marzuq, and Yusef, nieces:
Rozeena, Lutfiyyah, Saavaydrah, Son-in-law Joseph Fugate, sister-in-law: Carmen and Aisha.
Close friends Jackie Deloris and Karen. Along with and host of extended family and friends who will forever hold her memory close.
