Agapito Buzon, affectionately known as Steve, was born on July 18, 1932. He peacefully went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on July 10, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Apolonio Buzon and Flaviana Casunuran, 9 of 11 siblings, and his beautiful wife Gloria. Those left to cherish his memories are his two siblings (brother and sister), five children and a niece: Zenaida (Elmer), Yolanda, Wilfredo (Olivia), Gilberto (Emilie), Ernesto (Lina), and Elissa (Licano); eleven grandchildren – Erick, Jeanine, Cristy, Mae, Gilberto Jr., Ralph James, Paola, Patricia, John Ernest, Jake and Jason; and ten great-grandchildren – Bear (Trenton), Taylor, Isabella, Teo, Xavier, Qaiden, Klay, JD, Justise, and Sam.
Born and raised in Manila, Philippines, Steve attended the Feati University and received an associate degree in Electronics, Radio and Television. He was a lifelong learner, and enhanced his God given skills through self-taught knowledge in mechanical, electrical and carpentry. He built a motorcycle and a truck from scratch together with his brother-in-law, Sammy. Steve had a curious mind and a knack for engineering. He loved to tinker with gadgets, taking them apart to understand their inner workings and then skillfully putting them back together. His fascination with how things operated was a testament to his inquisitive spirit and technical prowess.
Among his many passions, Steve cherished dancing. Whether at family gatherings or community events, he could often be found on the dance floor, sharing his infectious joy with those around him. He had a special bond with his family in the Philippines, staying connected through Facebook and frequent video chats to share in their lives and celebrations from afar.
Agapito Buzon will be remembered for his warmth, his unwavering devotion to family, and his zest for life. His legacy of love and his fond memories will live on in the hearts of his family and all who knew him.
The visitation is on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Circle, S.E. Leesburg, VA 20175.
