Agnes "Aggie" Scott, age 86, of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away Friday, October 31, 2025, in a local health care facility.
Aggie was born in West Germany and moved to the United States in 1964. She held the equivalent of an industrial management degree from West Germany. After arriving in the United States she became a certified interpreter, an affiliate real estate broker and a manager and marketing director for several shopping centers. She was a member of the Business Career Advisory Board of Cleveland State Community College. She was the first chairperson of the Chamber of Commerce Small Business Council and a member of the Chamber Accreditation Committee, all in Cleveland, Tennessee. She was also a founding board member of the Bradley County Humane Society and was a member of the Cleveland Kiwanis Club.
Her outside interests had always been directed towards sports. She was a competitive athlete in West Germany, including having been a member of the 1960 Olympic track team and qualifying for the Olympic gymnastics team in 1964.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Joseph Scott, Jr., her parents, Theodor and Katharina Gruemmer Dohmen, sister, Anneliese Kevekordes and her brother, Theo Dohmen.
Survivors include her daughter, Virginia (Russell) Bolling, her brother, Josef Dohmen, granddaughters, Jennifer Jo (David James) Terry and Samantha Bolling and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 13, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
