Agnes Geruch Obituary

Agnes M. Geruch
Agnes (Tiso) Geruch, age 97, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at Waterbury Hospital.
Born on October 26, 1928, in Waterbury, Agnes was the daughter of the late Gaetano and Alice (Pesino) Tiso. She dedicated over 38 years of service as a foreman with Uniroyal, Inc., until the company's closure. A devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Agnes found her greatest joy in time spent with her family. In her later years, she also cherished the friendships and activities she enjoyed at Daybreak at Waterbury.
Agnes is survived by her son, Michael Geruch and his partner, Judy Sears of Torrington; her daughter, Michele Beck and her husband, Rusty of Naugatuck; and her grandchildren, Jeremy Geruch and his partner, Kelly, Matthew Geruch, Amanda Newland and her husband, Richard, Joshua Beck and his wife, Shannon, and Brandon Beck and his wife, Megan. She also leaves her great-grandchildren, Trip Newland, Jake Newland, and Audrey Beck, and many nieces and nephews as well as her very dear friend, Carol Calo. She was predeceased by her son, Joseph Geruch, her daughter-in-law, Gina Geruch, her brothers, Anthony, Gaetano, Jr., Philip, Louis and Richard, and her sisters, Alice "Honey" Mirabilio, Jennie Sforza, Anna Zeranski, Margaret Ficeto, and Dora Finelli.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026, from 10:00am – 12:30pm with a prayer service beginning at 12:00noon at Maiorano Funeral Home, 95 Willow St., Waterbury. Burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Agnes' name may be made to: Wounded Warrior Project, Donor Care Center, P.O. Box 758540, Topeka, KS 66675 or online at woundedwarriorproject.org .
