Agnes Lorraine Halgrimson

Agnes Lorraine (Handt) Halgrimson, 92 of Palisade passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2024. She was born April 18, 1932 in Belgrade the daughter of Carl and Agnes (Paulson) Handt. She grew up and graduated high school in Belgrade. Agnes was united in marriage to Christ E. Halgrimson on June 30 1950 in Rockford, IL. They lived in Rockford, Il. and Palisade where she worked on the family farm and was a homemaker. They also lived in Ontonagon, MI. and worked in the ship yards. She enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening, and trips to Canada. She was a member of the Crow Lake Lutheran Church in Belgrade. She was preceded in death by her husband Christ, sisters: Arline and June, brothers: Paul and David, son-in-law Bill, and her parents: Carl and Agnes. Agnes is survived by her children: Dale Halgrimson of Palisade, Maxine Miller (Kenneth Myers) of Remer, Darrell (Carol) Halgrimson of Palisade; Grandchildren: Christopher (Rebecca) Miller, Thomas Miller, Eric (Casie) Halgrimson, Amanda (Jason) McQueen; Great-grandchildren: Grace and Paul Miller; Sister Carol Beauchem of Palisade; Brother-in-law: Harold (Barb) Halgrimson in Tucson, AZ. and many other special relatives and friends who mourn her passing.
Funeral Service will be 11am – Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at Sorensen-Root-Thompson Funeral Home in Aitkin. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Palisade. To leave a message of condolence, please go to www.srtfuneral.com
