Agnes Jacot Obituary

Agnes J. Jacot Mason Agnes Jean (Ellis) Jacot went to meet her Lord on Thursday, November 28, 2013. Born April 28, 1924 in Detroit, Michigan, she was preceded in death by her mother, Jane M. Ellis, father, Edward C. Ellis, and sister, Margaret MacIntyre. Agnes is survived by her husband, Donald R. Jacot, son, David (Yvonne) Jacot of Grand Haven, daughters, Donna (Carl) Lawson of Mason, Denise (Patrick) Goveia of Goshen, Indiana, six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Our appreciation goes out to the staff at Holt Senior Care for their outstanding care during the last 18 months while she was in residence. Agnes was a homemaker, bookkeeper, and library aide at Mason Middle School for many years. She was also a charter member of the Kiwanis Golden 'K' Club of Mason and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Mason. Memorial services for Agnes will be on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church, 201 E. Ash, Mason, Michigan. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Golden 'K' Kiwanis Club c/o Treasurer, 109 Mason Hills Drive, Mason, MI 48854. The family is being served by the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, Mason, MI. On-line condolences may be made at www.grbdmason.com

Agnes was such a sweet woman and a great friend to my grandparents. I always enjoyed spending time with her when I was little.

I remember meeting Mrs. Jacot and feeling the warmth of her welcome. She was a true "gentle lady" and her absence will leave a hole in our lives.
