Agnes Kuhr Obituary

Agnes Lydia Kuhr, affectionately known as Lydia, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2025, in Smyrna, Tennessee. Born in Germany on January 19, 1941, Lydia was a beacon of love and strength who touched the lives of many throughout her journey.

Lydia shared a beautiful life with her husband, Bill, whom she was married to for 50 years. Their companionship was marked by a deep bond and a shared passion for travel, particularly cruising and their cherished trips to Hawaii, where they created unforgettable memories together. Lydia was not only a loving wife but also a dedicated mother and grandmother, whose warmth and kindness extended to her family and friends.

She is survived by her daughter, Judi (Bob) Probst, her granddaughter, Susan (Tim) Grover and great-grandchildren Peyton and Tristan (Rose). Lydia's legacy continues through her great-great-grandchildren, who will remember her spirit and lessons of love for generations to come.

Lydia was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bill, as well as her parents, Agnes and Joseph Stachowiak.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation, which will take place on August 15, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Forest Hill Memorial Park, located at 3301 East Forest Hill Avenue, Oak Creek, Wisconsin. This will be followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM at the same location and entombment.

Lydia will be remembered not only for her love of gardening and her adventurous spirit but also for the imprint she left on the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. Her life was a testament to the power of love, family, and shared experiences, and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
