Agnes Rawson
Mrs. Agnes Rawson, 78, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 19, 2024 at River Oaks Hospital in Flowood, MS. Visitation services will be held 5pm-8pm Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton and Wednesday 8:30am-10:45am at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held 11am Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at the Ott & Lee Chapel in Morton with burial following at Sims Hill Cemetery. Brother Robert Gatewood will officiate the services.
Mrs. Rawson was a native of Morton, MS, where she lived all her life. She was married to the love of her life, Mr. Billy Rawson, who preceded her in death on May 28. 1998. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Lonnie and Mrs. Pauline Waggoner, and by one son-in-law, Mr. Brad Reeves. She was a member of Oakgrove Church of God in Polkville, MS. She enjoyed working in her flower garden, caring for animals, and the country life. She especially loved the Lord and her family.
Mrs. Rawson is survived by her five beloved daughters, Paula Chapman (Harvey) of Morton, Kay Sumner (Rusty) of Lena, Rosa Ashmore (Chris) of Morton, Renee Gibbs (Billy) of Lake, and Lynn Reeves of Morton. Her grandchildren; granddaughters, Brittany Chapman and Mikayla Reeves of Morton; grandsons; Christopher Clark of Gulf Port, MS, Anthony Ashmore of Columbus, MS, and Trent Chapman of Morton. Four great grandchildren Aiden Hayman, Atley Ashmore, and Braxton and Dru Montgomery. And one brother Wilbur (Sheila) Waggoner of Morton. And many nephews and nieces.
The pallbearers will be J. D. Jones, O. B. Jones, Josh Miller, Adam Waggoner, Billy Lott and Chris Ashmore.
The honorary pallbearers will be Milton Chapman, Aiden Hayman, Ronnie Craig, Aiden and Dru Montgomery.
