Agnes Lee (Pruitt) Perdue, 94, of Tompkinsville, KY, passed away Monday, September 22 nd , at Signature Health Care of Monroe County.

Agnes was born in Vernon, KY on April 9, 1931, a daughter of the late Victoria (Short) and Franklin Pruitt.

She was baptized at a young age in the Cumberland River and was a member of the Church of Christ and was known for her steadfast faith in her Lord and Savior throughout her life. Shortly after her marriage to Carl Fish, they moved to Indianapolis where she was a long time employee of Western Electric/AT&T. She was later married to William Perdue and together they enjoyed traveling and volunteer work for the Church. During her lifetime she enjoyed traveling, sewing and quilting, working puzzles, and spending time with her family.
Her family always looked forward to her chicken & dumplings and homemade biscuits and pies, especially her chocolate meringue pie. And for those who knew her, she jokingly liked to tell you "sometimes I like you and sometimes I don't", but we were always sure of her love for us.

Agnes is survived by two daughters, Gale Eley, of Paducah, KY and Dr. Vicky Sherman of Indianapolis, IN; grandchildren, Jennifer Eley, Claire Eley, Brayden (Brittany) Sherman, Drake
(Yarden) Joy, Vaughn (Morgan) Sherman, Deidra Sherman, and Michael Sherman; great-grandchildren, Olivia Eley, Charlotte Eley, Hudson Sherman and another great-grandchild on the way.

Agnes is also survived by her sister, Athalene Hollinsworth (Richard) who lovingly provided many happy times with our mother during her last year and by many beloved nieces and
nephews.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Carl Fish and William Perdue; Brothers, Alva Pruitt, Lecil Pruitt and Paul Pruitt; Sisters, Bonnie Hope, Donnie Howard and Vernell Pruitt; Half Brothers, Raymond Pruitt and Robert Pruitt and Half Sisters, Ella
Melton, Ree Jackson, Hazel Hunter, Lola Pruitt, and Effie Jackson.

Thank you to the staff at Signature Health Care for loving and caring for our mother during the final year of her life.

Cremation has been chosen and a private family service will be held at a later date.
