Courtney Paige Perdue, age 32, passed away on Monday, September 8, 2025. Born in Cheraw, SC, she was a daughter of Karen Perdue and the late Joesph Black.
Courtney was a vibrant presence in the lives of those who knew her. She attended Marlboro County High School, where she was known for her outgoing personality, often described as the life of the party with a heart of gold. Courtney’s love for her children was unparalleled, and she found joy in traveling and helping others with their hair and makeup.
She is survived by her treasured children, Jayden Williams and Zaylee Perdue, both of Bennettsville, SC. Courtney is also lovingly remembered by her boyfriend, Olajuwon Ford of Bennettsville, SC, her mother, Karen Perdue (Bryant Quick) of Bennettsville, SC, her step-father, Calvin Smith of Wallace, SC, and her sisters, Destiny Quick (Thaddius) of Bennettsville, SC, Brittany Smith of Bennettsville, SC, Nieshia Williams of McColl, SC, Shalisa Williams of Cheraw, SC, and Bryanna Quick of Bennettsville, SC, and brothers, Henry Bethea of Bennettsville, SC and Joshua Tyler Black of TX. Additionally, her grandmothers, Gerline Merriman Shields of Cheraw, SC, and Maxine Haire of Wallace, SC, her special cousin, Walter Jones, and a special aunts, Marie Jones, Ashley Helms and Lynn Millsap and special uncles, Walter Jones, Sr., Kinley Millsap, and Jason Helms, along with numerous nieces and nephews, hold her memory close to their hearts.
She was preceded in death by her father listed above, grandfather, Gilbert Shields and grandmother, Mary Ann Bright.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 13, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at White’s Creek Freewill Baptist Church, Wallace, SC.
A funeral service will follow at 2:00PM on Saturday, September 13, 2025, with burial in the church cemetery.
Courtney's spirit and kindness touched many, and she will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
