Richard Thomas “Tommy” Quick, 50, passed away on Wednesday, December 24, 2025. Born in Jacksonville, FL, he was a son of Evander Dean Quick, Sr. and the late Vanessa “Nessa” Quick.
Tommy attended Marlboro County High School where he enjoyed playing multiple sports. He was a self-taught artist and enjoyed drawing and painting at an early age. Later in life he transferred his artistic talents to woodworking and was in the construction business and known as a local handyman. He also enjoyed hunting and he deeply cared for those around him, often helping the less fortunate as much as possible.
He is survived by his daughter, Emma Griggs, his father, Dean Quick, Sr. of Supply, NC, brothers, Dean (Clista) Quick, Jr. of Bennettsville, SC, and Joey (April) Quick of Cheraw, SC, a sister, Tina (Chris) Barry of Michigan, an uncle, Mike Quick of Bennettsville, SC, an aunt, Darlene Blue, of Wallace, SC and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother listed above.
The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
