Agnes Williamson Obituary

Agnes I. "Lou" Williamson died Saturday, March 22, 2025. She was born November 27, 1926, in Midway, a daughter of the late William N. and Viola I. Purdy Brockman. On July 25, 1950, she married John C. "Jack" Williamson, who died in 2007. She attended The First Baptist Church of Midway for most of her life. For the last four years, she lived at Presbyterian Senior Care - Southmont. Prior to that, she was a lifelong resident of Midway and a graduate of Midway High School. She was employed by Fort Cherry School District in the cafeteria for many years. She is survived by three daughters, Barb (Jim) Hopper, Pam (Doug) Caldwell, and Lori (Dave) Weber; and also six grandchildren, John Hopper, Danny Caldwell, Brianne (Jeff) Sieg, Julie (Nathan) Holmes, Sarah (Chase) Ogburn, and Andrew (Kaitlyn) Weber. She also had the good fortune of meeting her 12 great-grandchildren: Matt, Colin and Jackson Sieg, Sophia, Emerson and Samiel Holmes, Graham, Caroline, Charlie and Pierce Ogburn, and Jack and MaCallen Weber. Deceased, in addition to her husband, are her brothers, Lyle, Tom, Bill, Jerry and Wayne Brockman. She was an aunt to many nieces and nephews. Lou loved being with her family and friends and was loved by all who knew her. Midway was her home and she never traveled far from it. She loved taking rides in the car, but was always happy to go home. Her family would like to thank the excellent staff at Presbyterian Senior Care, 4th Floor Woodside for giving her their loving care, respect and compassion. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to contribute, in her memory, to The Presbyterian Senior Care, Southmont- HC, 835 Main Street, Washington, PA 15301. Friends and family will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, in Thomas-Little Funeral Service, Inc., 106 St. John Street, Midway, 724-796-3301, where a service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 26. Interment will follow at Center Cemetery, Midway.
