Aida DeLeon Deases passed away peacefully on August 15, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. A devout Catholic, Aida was a long time member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, where she served as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion and a member of the Catholic Daughters of America. She found strength in her faith, and found comfort in attending Mass.
Aida was born on December 9, 1950 in Agua Dulce Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents Pablo and Maria G. DeLeon. She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Louis Fernando Deases, and their children Teresa McNorton (John David), and Marcos Deases (Dawn). Her precious grandchildren Jordyn Deases, Jacob McNorton, Matilda McNorton, Isabella Deases, Penelope McNorton, Liam McNorton, and Dorian Deases; 5 beautiful sisters, 4 wonderful brothers; many brother and sister in laws, and countless nieces and nephews. Her kindness and generosity extended to all who knew her, and she never knew a stranger.
Visitation will be at 5pm on August 29th, with a Rosary at 6pm at Sawyer George Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church at 10am to be celebrated by Father Phillip J. Panackal.
The family would like to thank all of her doctors, nurses, and aids that took care of her with such care and compassion in her final days. Pallbearers will be Marcos & Dorian Deases, JD, Jacob and Liam McNorton, and Fred Ramos.
