Aidan Bubby "Bubba" Michael Bates

Aidan "Bubba" "Bubby" Michael Bates, 12, of Peru passed away on Friday, March 3, 2023.
He was born in Kokomo, Indiana to Michael Bates and Angelena (Wiser) Bates on November 29, 2010.
Aidan attended Blair Pointe Elementary and was currently in Mrs. Boswell's 6th grade class. He also attended St. Charles Catholic Church and enjoyed riding his bike, fishing, listening to music, and riding his electric skateboard. Aidan didn't know a stranger. He loved people and making new friends. Aidan played soccer for 7 years and more recently joined the Peru football team as a Tiger Cub last year. He loved his dogs; Bella, Mya, Rosie, Poppea and his neighbor's dog, Loui.
He is survived by his parents, Michael Bates of Peru, Indiana, Angelena (Wiser) Bates of Rochester, Indiana, Uncle Bob Wiser of Macy, Indiana, grandma, Barbara Crim of Indianapolis, Indiana, and sisters; Alexandria Doty of Rochester, Indiana, Avalynn Rose Bates of Rochester, Indiana, and Bronlyn Allyce Bates of Denver, Colorado. Aidan is also survived by several aunts and uncles.
Aidan is preceded in death by his grandpa, Raymond Wiser and grandma, Lynnette Wiser.
Visitation will be held at Flowers~Leedy Funeral Home, 105 West Third Street, Peru, Indiana on Thursday, March 9, 2023 from 3pm to 7pm. The funeral service will be held at 11am at St. Charles Catholic Church, 58 West Fifth Street, Peru, Indiana, Friday, March 10, 2023 with Father Adam Mauman officiating. Burial will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery in Peru, Indiana.
The family would like to give a heartfelt thanks to the special people in Aidan's life: Mrs. Amy Freeman, Mrs. Amy Boswell, Mrs. Isenburg, and the entire staff of Blair Pointe Elementary.
In Aidan's honor, memorial contributions may be given to his family to offset funeral expenses.
