Aiden Franklin

LAWNDALE: Aiden Nickolas Franklin, 17, died Monday, November 25, 2024 at his home. Born in Cleveland County he was the son of Amanda Smith and husband Doug of Lawndale and Timothy Franklin of Kings Mountain. Aiden graduated from Turning Point Academy and he worked at Food Lion. He was an avid computer gamer and his favorite game was Fortnite. His family said he was a simple kid who loved weird socks, collecting knives, and thrift shopping especially at Goodwill. He was loved dearly by his many friends and will be missed. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Rick Lemmons. In addition to his parents he is survived by his sister, Keely Lemmons; brothers, Julian Philbeck, Thomas Smith, Ashlee Smith and Jacob Streets; grandmother, Christy Allen and husband Ted; aunts, Cherryl Barnett, Jennifer Ferrara and husband Jeff, Gail Lemmons, and Mary Sue Lemmons; and many cousins. Memorial services will be held at 6:00PM Monday, December 2, 2024 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family asked that donations be made directly to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
