Ailsee Jolene (Burns) Strong, 63, passed away at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper, Indiana on March 15, 2025. She was born August 26, 1961, in Seymour to the late Alfred L. Burns and Alfa (Barrett) Edmondson.
Jolene, called "Momma Jo" by many because of her big heart, will be remembered as a loving, selfless person who put everyone's needs before her own. She loved hanging out with friends and family, enjoying cookouts or trip to Deams Lake. She had a fun spirit and could always make those around her laugh. Jolene doted on her grandchildren, and they were her world. She was the heart, soul, and glue of the family. Jolene will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Left behind to treasure Jolene's memory are her children, Billy (Vicki) Strong, John Strong, Tiffany Davis, and Brittany Mott; grandchildren, Destiny Greene, Evelyn Strong, Kyeirah Phillips, Serenity Davis, Kaden Phillips, Alex Davis, Rebecca Strong, Krimsin Strong, Wyatt Mott, Dylan Mott and Hailey Mott; three great grandchildren; sister, Audrey Burns; brothers, DeWayne Burns, Johnny Ray Hughes, and Oran Hughes; and uncle, Albert Barrett.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Bill Strong; and her parents, Alfred Burns and Alfa (AJ) Edmondson.
Funeral Services for Jolene will be held Saturday, March 22, 2025, at Voss
and Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, 316 North Chestnut Street, Seymour. Pastor Steve Muster of Hilltop Church will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Jolene will be laid to rest immediately following at Fairview Cemetery in Brownstown.
