Funeral services for Aimee Chapman will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 27, 2025, at the First Baptist Church with Derrick Thomas and Pastor Chris Ruwaldt officiating. Burial will follow in the Star Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Alva. Visitation with family present will be on Friday from 6:00–7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The service will not be livestreamed. Aimee Renee Chapman, daughter of Jesse Wayne and Michelle Renee (Cole) Chapman, was born on March 12, 2003, in Woodward, Oklahoma, and passed away on September 22, 2025, in Alva, at the age of 22 years. Raised on her family's ranch near Alva, Aimee graduated from Alva High School with the Class of 2021. She was a dedicated athlete, playing softball and basketball, and was actively involved in FFA. Her childhood was a beautiful mix of ranch life and close-knit friendships. She spent many nights with the Pettus family, who were more like family than friends, celebrating birthdays, special occasions, and enjoying countless family BBQs together. She also had a special, lifelong bond with her cousins who lived right in Alva. Together, they grew up exploring every corner of the ranch and finding a little trouble wherever they could. They shared every aspect of life, sports, school, and even graduation. Then their adventures were navigating all the milestones together that young adulthood would bring. Afterward, she proudly joined the family cattle operation, where she loved working alongside her parents and siblings. Life on the ranch was where her heart was. She adored her horses, riding and training them daily, with her faithful dogs always by her side. Aimee spent time in Arizona training horses with a family friend and she was always happiest outdoors working with her animals. Aimee's life was full of radiant joy, and everyone who knew her remembers her big, bright smile and infectious laugh. She was known for her exceptional kindness, always willing to help a friend or a stranger with a loving and generous spirit. Aimee's deep faith in the Lord was a beautiful and visible part of who she was, evident in every word and action. She had a special gift for children's ministry, serving as a counselor at CrossTimbers Children's Camp for four summers, where she touched countless young lives and witnessed many children find salvation in Christ. Aimee also loved teaching and serving in children's ministry at First Baptist Church of Alva, where every child she met, young or old, felt her deep care and encouragement. This past summer, she found a deep and meaningful love with Olson Johnson. Together, they shared many adventures and lighthearted moments, as well as thoughtful conversations that reflected their genuine bond. Their relationship grew quickly into something strong and special, and Aimee treasured every moment they shared. Family was the centerpiece to Aimee's life. She loved spending time with Caleb and Audra, as well as weekends with her cousins, Peyton and Savannah. Their time together as the "Four Amigos" was something she treasured. She always looked forward to big family reunions, where her laughter and joy brightened every gathering. Aimee's life was a beautiful continuation of the family legacy she honored with her whole heart. Her devotion to the ranch was a living testament to her deep connection to the land and the generations who came before her. It is fitting that she will be laid to rest in Star Cemetery, on the very ground her ancestors helped establish, where she will find eternal peace among them. Aimee is survived by her parents, Jesse and Michelle Chapman of Alva; her brother, Caleb Chapman of Alva; her sister, Audra Chapman of Alva; and her cousins, Austin and wife Jordie Flynt and their sons, Sean and Ryder of Gage. She is also survived by her grandparents, Dean and Dana Chapman of Gage, and Don and Tracey Cole of Edmond. Other surviving family members include her uncles, Jim and wife Johnna Chapman of Follett, Texas, and their children, Abby, Adam, and Alisha; and Dan and Robin Chapman of Lindsay, Oklahoma, and their children, Rylee and Shane; as well as cousins Brandi, Brandon, and Brock of Gage, Oklahoma. Her aunts include Katie and husband Dominic Miraglia of McKinney, Texas, and their daughters Peyton and Savannah; Jennifer and husband Jeremy Colvard of Salina, Oklahoma, and their sons Mason and Chase; Rebecca and husband Jared Colvard of Edmond, Oklahoma, and their son Axel; Angie "Aunt G" Flynt of Alva and her sons Austin, Jordan, and Ethan; and Teri "Aunt T" Warren and husband Jett of Alva, and their children Zeth and Aspen. She is also survived by a host of other beloved extended family members and countless friends. Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the First Baptist Church.
